There are so many reasons to take drum lessons. Drums are the heartbeat of the band. Learning to play the drums gives you an outlet for emotional and creative expression. And there are plenty more reasons to learn to play the drums. Research shows that both children and adults who take music lessons improve their emotional processing, memory and attention, mathematics, language, and general intelligence. Music reduces stress, lowers heart rate, improves breathing, and lowers social aggression. Music students are more cooperative with teachers and peers, more self-confident and better able to express their ideas.
